Fireworks Photography Experiment
This past Labour Day I tried an experiment while photographing some fireworks. I set my camera to a low ISO and set it up for 2 to 3 second exposures. I set the "in focus" point and then put everything out of focus. As the explosions started I would open the shutter and start to focus the image. This essentially allowed the streams of the fireworks to grow into a point and made the fireworks look like glow-in-the-dark deepsea creatures.
